New Adventures
How has everyone been? Quick update...
Hello!
It’s been a while since I’ve written here. After I stepped back from teaching yoga regularly, writing about the sutras and reflecting here in this format quickly fell down off the priority list. This will be a super quick update to tie up the loose end for those of you who were enjoying reading these letters :)
My wife and I are expecting our second kiddo mid 2026, and as a result I’ve been leaning hard into this new role as a father. Turns out there isn’t much energy left after chasing around a 15 month old psycho boy! Big surprise right?
Anyways, I’m now very aware of my own mortality and the fact I can only achieve so many things in my increasingly short remaining lifetime. Teaching yoga the way I was and writing like this will one day come back into a central role I feel, but for now I’ll be focusing on growing my business to support my growing family.
Here’s the fun synchronicity!
One of my new clients in these last months is an incredible yoga teacher named Josh Blatter. He teaches live at various studios in North County SD, but what I’ve been doing with him is supporting the growth of his new YouTube channel where he makes videos discussing yoga philosophy in a very grounded, candid, and deeply insightful yet practical way.
All I’ll say at this point is that I’m strongly aligned with his attitude towards this practice and the way he’s chosen to drive it forward with his channel is something I feel very good about supporting.

Josh does an annual online seminar on the sutras. Safe to say it’ll be much more detailed and clear than my own rather raw and random reflections I’ve written here.
The dude has been teaching for 20 years and has worked with the United Nations on yoga-related international peace initiatives. Super legit.
